I have been hit by the bug of travel big time. We don't have any trips to plan this year and it is driving me bonkers!!! Is there such a thing as an addiction to travel?
Not only do I love to travel but I love the whole planning process. Finding the perfect hotel, snatching up the plane tickets for a great deal, figuring out which sites to see. I love all of it. I think my calling in live was to be a travel agent.
We are hoping to take three trips next year, one to Disneyland, one to Disney World and one to Europe, so I have been doing a ton of research on those three. I have my budgets all planned out and I have the hotels picked for both Disney trips. My travel notebook is full of places to stay and things to see, and what I need to buy before the trips. It feels kind of pathetic because 1)we don't even have the time off and we don't even know if we can get the time off 2)the two Disney trips are dependent on if we get registered for the half marathons and they don't even open for a few more months 3)most people think I'm crazy, but honestly thats all ok with me.
We are really hoping that we can get 3 weeks off next June or July and spend a week in Paris and then two weeks on a Canal boat in England. We have been to England and Paris before and we loved it and I really want to go back. We are really hoping that we can get the time off for it. I have been doing a ton of research on canal boats, hotels, things to do, cost of food at Tesco and Sainsbury and of course the cost of clothes because who doesn't love a new wardrobe from Europe!! We have been to Europe before but we have never done a canal boat(other than staying on one that was immobile) so if anyone has any tips please let me know. We really want to take the canal to Cadbury World so we are trying to plan around that.
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Month in Review - February
So February wasn't that fantastic of a month for me. I ended up with pneumonia so I was laid up in bed from the 3rd to the 16th.
I had started to feel really bad so I was taking NyQuil each night and then come the weekend I felt so terrible I just slept the whole time. I missed my sisters birthday, I missed the Super Bowl. I just slept all that weekend. Come Tuesday I realized that something wasn't right so when I took my temp it was at 104 degrees. I called my Dr and she told me to get straight to the Emergency Room. So I spent a few hours there and they figured out I had pneumonia. So I spend about two hours hooked up to antibiotics and then released. Then I went home and basically slept and didn't leave my room until the 15th. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, it was horrible.
Then we spent the next week catching up on laundry and housework. My hubby was so great with taking care of me and the kiddo but he didn't do so well on keeping up on the chores which is totally fine. The poor guy was doing it all for pretty much a week and a half. I couldn't have done it without him.
Then the last weekend my sister and I went to the spa for a makeup to her birthday. That was a ton of fun. They have these rooms of small hot tubs ranging in temperatures, two saunas, and these fantastic heated rooms with sand, jade, salt, etc. So we spent a few hours there and then we got a massage. I love being able to spend quality time with my sister. Life is busy for both of us so we don't get to do it enough.
Afterwards I went out with my friend of close to 100 years lol. We have been friends since we were really young and have been through a lot. We were having a tough time making our schedules work so we decided that the last Saturday of every month would be our "date" night. Sometimes we go to each others houses, sometimes we go out. We decided to go out and have dinner and some drinks and we had such a good time. I love catching up with her.
The hubby and I got a wild hair and decided to paint our trim a dark brown to kind of match some of the other decor in our house so we spend Sunday getting the supplies, prepping and painting. It was fun. It makes me excited to work on the house this year.
So needless to say I didn't get much accomplished that I wanted to this month. So basically my goals for March are:
*Check out cameras and decide on a good one
*Get back into running. This one is going to be hard though because I am going through a lot of medical tests right now to try to figure out what is going on with some of my low blood levels. I have an endoscopy scheduled for the end of the month and I am having lots of blood draws. Plus I am not 100% positive that my pneumonia is gone so I have to do some follow up on that. I really just want to be healthy.
*Do my first vlog - I keep saying that I am going to do this but I just don't seem to have a few hours where I can sit and focus, and there was no way I was going to be able to do it while I was sick.
*Keep up on blog posts - last month I had all these grand ideas of some posts I was going to do but they all fell to the wayside. So hopefully I can stay well enough to get those typed up and posted.
I hope everyone has a fantastic March. I have my fingers crossed that it will be better than February was.

The before, taping is a pain in the butt
The after, we hadn't taken the tape off yet.
